H igh School Division $75.00 per year
J unior High Division $60.00 per year
When
completing paperwork please make it legible,
as the American Form is sent
the National High School Rodeo Association head office and causes a major drama
if it is not legible.
The Minors Release form
which is on the back of the NHSRA Membership form MUST be signed by a
Justice Of The Peace.
Contestant Qualification
Students applying for membership must be in
enrolled at school or are in government approved schooling
program; they must be in good standing; not ruled undesirable for misconduct at
schools.
High
School Division Membership is for students between the ages
of 15 up to and including 19 on 1st
of August the year just preceding the
National Rodeo the contestant is entering.
Junior High
Division Membership is for Students
ages of 11 up to and including 14 on 1st
of August the year just preceding the
National Rodeo the contestant is entering.
A student can only be a member of the High School Division for a period of 4
years and Junior High Division
for a period of 3 years. A student may chose to defer for a year but must
still be a financial member and notify the Secretary of this decision.
A copy of current grade report, tafe or apprenticeship paperwork must be
forwarded to the Secretary with Membership form
The National High School Rodeo Association was created to give high school
students the opportunity to participate and compete in this unique and
challenging sport. Although not recognized by high school athletics, the NHSRA
offers a rodeo program that sets high school rodeo apart from other sports:
Competitors have the opportunity to acquire scholarships and grants for
continuing their educational careers, whether that be in America or used in
Australia.
